Baddesley Park U13 Knights win Division 2

Huge Congratulations to our Baddesley Knights U13s for winning League 2.

A fantastic season consisting of 11 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses enabled then to be joint top of their league alongside Sholing on 34 pts….11pts clear of 3rd place.

As joint winners a title deciding match was in the balance and was played on Wednesday 17th May at Baddesley rec between the two teams.

An entertaining and Evenly matched encounter throughout the first half resulted in a 2-2 HT score.

The second half began and Baddesley grew in confidence, applying more pressure as time went on and found a 3rd goal half way through to lead 3-2.

Baddesley continued to create the best chances and hit the post twice in 5mins with some excellent team and individual displays, the final 5mins of the match then became a nervous countdown with Sholing throwing everything they could to equalise but the Baddesley side stood firm and resilient in defence and thier midfield fought for every loose ball.

In the dying seconds Sholing received a corner which would be the last kick of the game and the Baddesley team cleared their lines and the final whistle blew!!

The players embraced each other with huge excitement and  a brilliant crowd cheered and clapped the champions 👏👏
