The club has now established itself from its humble beginnings of a Dad and his son, to a club of 11 teams and over 155 registered players covering Under 7s to Under 18s. In addition, the club offers an opportunity for girls and boys aged 4 upwards to learn basic football skills in our Development Group.

History of Baddesley Park FC

Based in North Baddesley, Baddesley Park Football Club was established in 1998. The first team was formed by Colin Jowett, a North Baddesley resident, whose son Joe wanted to play football for a local team. For a couple of seasons Colin’s lads played unaffiliated 11-a-side football and the club operated as a one team outfit. In the summer of 2000, Craig Brooks and John Robinson, who had been training a number of younger boys from the village, approached Colin to find out if they could form a second Baddesley Park team. By this time, more and more boys were turning up at North Baddesley Recreation Ground on a Saturday morning to join in training sessions, run by enthusiastic volunteers, usually parents!

By the end of 2000 Colin was chairman and secretary of rapidly expanding venture, as well as a team manager, and it was agreed that a committee should be formed to help ease the burden and move the club forward. The first committee consisting of Adrian Tull (Chairman), Sharon Whitehouse (Secretary) and Trevor Luckman (Treasurer) were appointed in the spring of 2001, when the club officially affiliated to the Hampshire F.A.

In 2001/2002 Baddesley Park started its first affiliated season with Colin’s team playing in the Tyro league at u12s. Craig Brooks managed the u10s and Craig Whitehouse ran the u8s team, both playing in the Eastleigh and District Mini Soccer League.

Support from enthusiastic parents and volunteers has enabled the club to expand rapidly. We have around 200 registered players representing the club across age groups ranging from u8 to u16. We have teams playing every Sunday, in the local mini soccer league and in the Tyro League. In addition, the club offers an opportunity for children aged 4 upwards to learn basic football skills.

Our sponsors directly contribute and support sport for kids in our community and make a visible difference as every penny of sponsor money is reinvested in football equipment and facilities for the club. There are no hidden administration charges or costs, we are truly a grass roots club so we can assure a sponsor that their contribution is going directly to youth football.

The Baddesley Park community of players and their families is extremely loyal and is always appreciative of the club, its sponsors and supporters. We endeavour to encourage our community to support local businesses wherever possible and in particular when they are our sponsors.

Finally, the football club and the work we do with the youth of the village and surrounding areas is valued and well respected by residents and our local parish council.

U11's

Currently the club does not have a team at this age group for the 2023 / 2024 season. The club is however interested in forming a team for next season.

U12's

Currently the club has one team playing at this age group. If you are interested in playing football and are at the age group please contact us.

U13's

Currently the club has two teams playing at this age group. Both teams play in the Tryo league on a Sunday. If you are interested in playing football and are at the age group please contact us.

U14's

Currently the club has two teams playing at this age group. Both teams play in the Tryo league on a Sunday. If you are interested in playing football and are at the age group please contact us.

U14 (Girls Saturday Morning)

Currently the club has one all girls team playing their games on a Saturday Morning. If your are intrested in playing football and are at this age please contact us.

U15's

Currently the club has one team playing at this age group. This team plays in the local Tyro League. If you are interested in playing football and are at the age group please contact us.

U16's

Currently the club does not have a team at this age group for the 2023 / 2024 season. The club is however interested in forming a team for next season.

U18's

Currently the club does not have a team at this age group for the 2023/ 2024 season. The club is however interested in forming a team for next season.

Veterans
